All materials used have been carefully selected for their use and function. All CNC machined parts are made of lightfast and acid resistant POM. This plastic is used primarily in the medical field because of its self-lubricating properties, its high flexibility and its high heat resistance (125 ° C short term). My stands are therefore suitable for live steam engines. The stainless steel used is free of rust, surface tempered steel V2A, which is pre-treated and cleaned by hand in a special cleaning process. The contoured bearings are produced to the highest precision by CNC controlled machines. Each bearing is individually turned in the outline to ensure the perfect surface and precise concentricity. In addition, each individual receives a name. The seat of each contoured bearing is brought to final size with an H10 reamer.
